So you want to volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer is easy. Simply download, print, complete and mail your volunteer application form and police check form to :

Please note: ICV responds to community requests for specific skills and it may take some time for a volunteer with your skills to be requested. Please do not feel disappointed if this happens. International Volunteer Criteria

A person who is not an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident can apply to become a volunteer with ICV if they meet the following criteria:

  • have lived in Australia for a minimum of twelve months
  • have a valid Australian visa
  • have experience as a volunteer with a recognised organisation
  • have excellent oral and written English language skills
  • can supply a police clearance from your home country
  • will consent to an Australian police check
  • will provide two Australian professional and two Australian personal referees

Australian Business Volunteers

Australian Business Volunteers (ABV) and Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) have
established a partnership that will allow ABV and ICV to work in cooperation to source appropriate volunteers for specific ABV placements or ICV projects.
